2. Your Data Ownership

Duchenne is designed with privacy as a core principle. You own 100% of your data.

• We do NOT collect, access, or store any of your personal information
• Your photos never leave your device
• Your data is backed up to YOUR personal Google account
• We never have access to your Google account or backup data

3. Data Storage and Backup

3.1 Camera and Photo Data

Our App requires camera access to capture photos for smile training. All photos are:

• Processed entirely on your device - No photos are ever sent to our servers
• Stored locally and backed up to your Google account - Only you have access
• Never shared with us or third parties
• Owned and controlled by you

3.2 Training Progress

Your training progress, achievements, and statistics are stored on your device and backed up to your personal Google account. We never upload this data to our servers.

3.3 Google Account Backup

The App uses Android's built-in backup service to protect your data:

• Your data backs up to YOUR Google account - not our servers
• Only you can access your backed-up data
• Your progress automatically restores when you switch devices
• You control backups through your Google account settings

4. Data Security

Your data is protected by your device's security and Google's backup infrastructure. Since we don't store your data, there is no risk of:

• Data breaches on our servers (we don't have your data)
• Unauthorized access by us or third parties
• Tracking or surveillance of your activity

5. Analytics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics that help us improve the App:

• User count and app installations
• Basic usage metrics (app opens, session duration)
• Device type and OS version
• Crash reports to fix bugs

Firebase Analytics does NOT collect:

• Your photos or camera data
• Your training progress or statistics
• Your personal information or Google account details

6. Data Deletion

You have complete control over your data:

• Delete individual photos from within the App
• Clear all data using the App's settings
• Manage Google backups through your Google account
• Uninstall the App to remove local data

7. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Android Permissions

• Camera: Capture photos for smile training (stored locally)
• Storage: Save your progress and photos on your device
• Internet: Back up data to your Google account
• Notifications: Send local reminders (optional)
